guys i love this site but you have over complicated the wind overview map by adding too many wind speed sources. In my area (bristol channel) there are now dozens of arrows all piled on top of one another its hard to pinpoint the accurate ones. many are in peoples back gardens and are not accurate and not updated. its better to stick with just a few reliable sources like the airports. for a glance at wind its easier to use xc weather... sorry to moan otherwise its great john tinney

Hey john. Ok thanks for letting us know that it's not really performing for you. Hopefully we can sort that out. That's always stage one of making things better.
We are strongly considering moving away from this Flash concept anyway in favour of a lighter weight HTML set up. Part of that is to seperate out the different data as well so this could solve your issue. I know that for the time being you can zoom in using this map, but I think that it's still not user friendly enough for your case.
Probably worth getting anyone else's feedback at this stage if you have anything else to add to john's thoughts?
I personally think that being able to filter the different stations might be quite hot along with a lighter display and maybe an xc style rollover but for only a few days. We were actually planning to seperate out the buoy data and put this on a seperate page as well so that we can make more of the actual data presentation as well (e,g more graph displays etc...) If anyone doesn't like the sounds of this change, please let us know here.
Thanks for the feedback, we want to keep the site moving forward, and doubtless other people may have thought the same but just not mentioned it.

Well, I just use the forecast for a specific location, being a yachtie. The data is by presented far better than by any other site, including xc, and gives me a week ahead forecast and useful tide data for today etc as well. More to the point it is usually accurate. Keep up the good work. "If it works don't fix it"
